Nalidlatul Ulama (NU) as an organization as well as the diniyyah Islamiyah and Ijtima'iyyah movements, since its inception, has made the Ahlussunnah Wal Jama'ah ideology the basis of its ideology. Of course, the meaning is Ahlussunnah Wal-Jama'ah which is sustainable from generation to generation, which is built in a religious construction that follows the schools of al-Asy'ari and al-Maturidi in the field of faith, follows one of the four schools of jurisprudence, follows madzhab al-Junaid al-Baghdadi in the field of tashawuf.

Today, along with the swift flow of various sects outside of Ahlussunnah Wal Jama'ah that are spreading in various parts of the Islamic world, especially in Indonesia, it is increasingly important to provide an explanation about the essence of Ahlussunnah Wal Jama'ah. Not a few sects that have developed in Indonesia claim to represent Ahlussunnah Wal Jama'ah, but carry teachings that are different from ASWAJA teachings that have been understood by Nahdlatul Ulama.

In the many ASWAJA Daurah held by ASWAJA NU CENTER East Java, since 2010, there is one important and very interesting material in the form of a Power Point which is often delivered by Ustadz Muhammad Idrus Ramli, namely material with the theme Internalization of Ahlussunnah Wal Jama'ah in Gbbalization Era. Given the importance of this material, we, from the ASWAJA NU Center in East Java, have asked Ustadz Muhammad Idrus Ramli some time ago to record this material in one book.

Thank God, he finally complied with our proposal by writing a book in the hands of this reader, entitled Provisions for Defenders of Ahlussunnah Wal Jama'ah Facing Salafi-Wahhabi Radicalism. Although some parts of the material for this book have been contained in the book Madzhab al-Asy'ari Is it true Ahlussunnah Wal Jama'ah, which was published several years ago, the book that is before this reader seems to be very good and more in-depth in explaining the essence of Ahlussunnah Wal Jama'ah understood by Nahdlatul Ulama. Therefore, reading this book is very important for Indonesian Muslims who want to know the essence of ASWAJA as understood by Nahdlatul Ulama and pious salaf scholars. In short, this book is important as material in consolidating ASWAJA in Indonesia.

Hopefully this book will be useful for Muslims in Indonesia in general, and Nahdliyyin members in particular. And hopefully the author of this book will be more productive in writing ASWAJA Amen books.
