For the santri and followers of the tarekat, Dalailul Khairat's wirid is a very famous wirid. This wirid is usually given through a diploma process, namely the tradition of giving teachings or practices from generation to generation with a clear chain of sanad. Teachers who do diplomas are called Mujiz. When the diploma is carried out, the lineage of the Dalailul Khairat's sanad wirid is usually included sequentially which is connected to the author of this wirid, Sheikh Muhammad bin Sulaiman al-Jazuli.

There are also those who are given a diploma reading dalail accompanied by reading the Qur'an which must be completed for a certain period, such as one month or 41 days depending on the provisions of the mujiz. Practices like this are usually called the Dalail Qur'an. As well as various other different kinds of amaliyah according to the recommendations of mujiz. This is none other than to make the practice of Dalailul Khairat's wirid more perfect.

This wirid contains a collection of prayers addressed to the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam. How to read it varies. But generally people read according to the daily distribution called hizb. Starting from the reading on Monday to the second Monday and ending the prayer at khatam. However, there are also those who immediately recite the entire Dalailul Khairat every day, and some scholars even recite it after each fardhu prayer, so that it is completed five times a day.

Sheikh Muhammad bin Sulaiman al-Jazuli (W. 872 H) was the author of the Dalailul Khairat wirid. He is a Moroccan scholar, the wirid Dalailul Khairat was composed by him during his journey of knowledge in the City of Fez. He once isolated himself for worship (Khalwat) for 14 years, after which he focused on educating his students. There are so many people who repent at his hands, so that he is known as a scholar who is famous for his charisma. He also has many followers spread all over Morocco.

He was killed on the 16th of Rabiul Awal in 870 Hijriah in the City of Sus as a result of being poisoned. His death was just at the time he was carrying out the dawn prayer prostration. After 77 years from his death, the body of Sheikh Muhammad bin Sulaiman al-Jazuli was moved to the City of Marrakesh. According to testimony, his body was intact as it was when he was buried, not changed at all (Syekh Abdul Majid as-Syarnubi, Syarah Dalail al-Khairat, Cet. Maktabah Al-Adab, pp. 2-3).

The virtue of practicing the Dalailul Khairat which is very well-known among the wirid practitioners is the speed at which the wishes of the readers are fulfilled. Whenever you want something, it's easy to have that wish come true. But even so, the Dalailul Khairat practitioners in reading this wirid should aim purely to draw closer to Allah (Taqarrub ila Allah) without expecting any worldly strings attached.
